A hilarious whodunit and winner of the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER finishes its HCT run this weekend, September 14th-16th.
Recipient of the 2023 Kay Award for Outstanding Supporting Performer in a Musical, the multifaceted Ethan Fite returns to the HCT main stage as the fatally fated face of the Family D'Ysquith.
Originally hailing from Houston, Texas, Fite now calls Granite Falls his home. He holds an Associate's Degree in Arts & Science from Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute. When not impressing audiences, Fite can be found working hard behind the scenes as Assistant to the Artistic Director at HCT.
Fite, who was recently nominated for an Emerging Artist of the Year award by the Metrolina Theatre Association, made a harrowing Hickory Community Theatre debut as Lady Macduff/Menteith in MACBETH. Fite followed this with his Kay Award-winning turn as Franz in ROCK OF AGES. Other memorable HCT roles include Simon in EXIT PURSUED BY A BEAR, and one of the Angel trio in KINKY BOOTS. Outside of HCT, Fite has performed in CABARET at Theatre Statesville, as well as FROM THIS DAY FORWARD and CYRANO DE BERGERAC at Old Colony Players.
Fite is grateful for the comedic challenge of his role in A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER, and for the supportive presence of HCT Canine Ambassador Sir Samuel.
