From Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes comes IN THE HEIGHTS, a moving musical journey that takes place over three days in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood. Bursting with song and dance, and alive with the pulse of those who dare to dream, the Tony Award-winning musical closes in the Jeffers Theatre this weekend, June 27th—29th.
Returning to the Pamela Livingstone Stage in the Jeffers Theatre, in this exuberant musical celebration, is Ensemble member Kristy Lee.
A Conover resident for nearly thirty years, Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Mars Hill University. She currently works as a Fill Technician for Exela Pharma, and enjoys writing, painting, and playing the piano and ukulele in her free time.
Lee made her Hickory Community Theatre debut in this season's ANASTASIA, and is thrilled to be back for IN THE HEIGHTS. "Probably one of my favorite musicals ever. Big Lin-Manuel Miranda fan." For Lee, it's yet another example of the wide variety of shows HCT produces each season. And it's why she is grateful to "be part of the group that makes [IN THE HEIGHTS] perfect."
Performances of IN THE HEIGHTS are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 27th through June 29th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.
Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
IN THE HEIGHTS is rated PG-13.
IN THE HEIGHTS is produced in association with Alex Lee, Inc. The Hickory Community Theatre’s 75th season is sponsored by Paramount Automotive, SunBelt Xpress and Green Park Dentistry. HCT is a Funded Affiliate of Arts Culture Catawba and receives additional support from the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
