In addition to a love for the theatre, the board is always seeking candidates with experience/expertise in human resources, development, fundraising, marketing, or data management. Board members are expected to attend 11 board meetings a year, read board materials in advance of board meetings, and come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions.
Board members are expected to serve on one or more committees of the board and to actively participate in committee work.
Board members are expected to directly invest in HCT’s work by making a personal contribution each year, to leverage personal relationships and connections that help staff identify and solicit potential partners to help HCT achieve its mission.
