A Cut Above: Meet LIZZIE musical director Mary Bolton

Step aside, Sweeney Todd! Hickory Community Theatre presents LIZZIE, the powerful new rock musical based on the infamous Lizzie Borden murder mystery.

The production, which continues its sold-out run raising the roof in the Firemen's Kitchen at HCT, represents the music directorial debut of Mary Bolton.

Originally hailing from Massachusetts, Bolton is a graduate of Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. She relocated to the Hickory area for work over 20 years ago, and is currently a District Sales & Service Manager for Metrolina Greenhouses...in addition to her daily and diligent work as mother to four kids.

Says Bolton: "With this being my first experience, my favorite thing about HCT is how welcoming everyone has been."

ALL REMAINING PERFORMANCES OF LIZZIE ARE CURRENTLY SOLD OUT. The box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday. Remaining performance dates are Fridays and Saturdays, May 16th, 17th, 23rd & 24th at 7:30 PM; and, Thursday, May 15th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and students.
