"It would be nice to be a star, but I'm not. I'm a dancer."

So admits Cassie, the once featured dancer trying to earn her way back on stage...if she can get past her past with the show's director. The Tony Award winning A CHORUS LINE plays at HCT August 28 through September 12.

Making her Hickory Community Theatre debut as Cassie in this production is Kelsey Fish.

Though she calls Hickory her hometown Fish currently resides in Charlotte. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNC at Charlotte, a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Appalachian State University, and a Certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy. She works as a Mental Health Therapist for Best Life Mental Health & Wellness.

"It’s the anthem of dancers as a culture and community," Fish says about A CHORUS LINE. In addition to her appreciation for the play, she is thankful for Hickory Community Theatre's commitment to "giving every person a chance to express and discover themselves."

Performances of A CHORUS LINE are Fridays and Saturdays, August 28, 29, September 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 7:30pm; Sundays, August 30 and September 6 at 2:30pm; and Thursday, September 10 at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for youth and students 18 and under. The production is recommended for ages 13 and up. Tickets are available at hickorytheatre.org or by calling 828‑328‑2283.

A CHORUS LINE is produced in association with Catawba Valley Health System.
