Heaven On Their Mind: Meet JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Ensemble member Ava Miller

Filled with song and spectacle, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's hit musical JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR examines the passion, perils, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ's final days. It finishes its run in the at HCT this weekend, April 17th-19th.

Making her Hickory Community Theatre debut in this spectacular production is Ensemble member Ava Miller.

Miller, a voice coach and program director at Hickory Music Factory, holds a BA in Drama from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She enjoys honing her guitar and piano skills, taking tap dance lessons, and working on puzzles in her free time.

Miller's other area credits include Green Room Community Theatre productions of ELF THE MUSICAL and LEGALLY BLONDE, for which she was a Broadway World nominee for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical. She has also performed in and stage managed productions of MEMPHIS, THE WIZARD OF OZ, and STEEL MAGNOLIAS with the Community Theatre of Greensboro.

For Miller, performing in this production has been a creative joy and a unique family affair. "JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is one of my favorite shows, as well as my father’s (Ensemble member Brett Miller). It’s something we’ve bonded over throughout the years. I love the unique way it tells this story, and I have been loving all of the dancing."

Performances of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR are this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 17th through April 19th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and students.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is rated PG-13. Some material may not be appropriate for children under 13.
