Heaven On Their Mind: Meet JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Ensemble member Brett Miller

What's the buzz? Over 50 years since it was first performed, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR continues to dazzle. Set in the last week of his life, the iconic rock opera explores the struggles between Jesus Christ, his followers, and the powers that be. It concludes its run at HCT this weekend, April 17th-19th.

It's been a long time coming, but Ensemble member Brett Miller is thrilled to be back at HCT in this production.

A longtime Hickory resident, Miller works for the appropriately named Brett Miller Insurance, Medicine and Health. In addition to his business ties, Miller plays in two local bands, Fried Melon Blues and Bourbon Arcade, that have rocked out at HCT's Vacation Extravaganza.

Miller's last appearance at Hickory Community Theatre came in 1990 ("before most of this cast were born") in THE BOYS NEXT DOOR. A "bucket list" show for Miller, his involvement in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is that much more rewarding for being able to perform alongside his daughter, Ensemble member Ava Miller.

Performances of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR are this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 17th through April 19th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and students.

Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR is rated PG-13. Some material may not be appropriate for children under 13.
