"It's the most popular of diseases,
Selling out shows from coast to coast.
You never know when it might hit you.
Well you'd better freak out, cause it's [bleeping] gross!" It's a "Dysentery World" in THE TRAIL TO OREGON!, and we're just trying to survive it. So store your food properly, wash your hands thoroughly, then get down to The Fireman's Kitchen at HCT, March 13th—21st, to be part of this irreverent, audience-interactive musical experience from StarKid Productions.
Returning to the HCT stage to make you McSwoon as the bandit Henry McDoon (& Everyone Else), is multi-Kay Award winner Justin Wilson.
A Hickory resident and hard-working server at Olde Hickory Station, Wilson made a most memorable HCT debut as Robin in SOMETHING ROTTEN, for which he earned a Kay Award for Outstanding Male Character Performer. He went on to appear at HCT in such productions as THE PIRATE QUEEN, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, part of the Pamela Livingstone Award-winning ensemble in THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, RIDE THE CYCLONE, ANASTASIA, THE GUY WHO DIDN'T LIKE MUSICALS, and most recently in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Wilson's other noteworthy area roles include Cowboy Bob in FOOTLOOSE at Theatre Statesville, Seymour in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at Little Theatre of Gastonia, and Dan in NEXT TO NORMAL at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
A self-proclaimed "actor most likely to be making weird faces in the background," Wilson is feeling full as a tick (as they say on the trail) to be making the most of his comedic chops in this production. "I love StarKid musicals and believe they're some of the funniest shows out there."
