"It's the most popular of diseases,

Selling out shows from coast to coast.

You never know when it might hit you.

Well you'd better freak out, cause it's [bleeping] gross!"

It's a "Dysentery World" in THE TRAIL TO OREGON!, and we're just trying to survive it. So store your food properly, wash your hands thoroughly, then get yourselves down to The Fireman's Kitchen at HCT, to be part of this irreverent, audience-interactive musical experience from StarKid Productions. Due to demand, the show's run has been extended through March 28.

Making her Hickory Community Theatre debut in this production as Mother, the show's deeply caring, martyrdom-loving matriarch, is Kendall Comolli.

A recent-ish transplant to Hickory, Comolli moved to the area in 2024 to be closer to family. She holds a Bachelor of ArtsTheatre degree from Hollins University, and works in the Accounts Payable Department at Blue Ridge Crystal Technologies. When not working or performing, Camolli enjoys reading, crafting, crocheting, and watching movies. Since moving to Hickory, Comolli has already made a theatrical impression in KING LEAR and SHREK at Green Room Community Theatre. She is living the dream by being involved in this production, and getting to explore the mysteries of the maternal arts. "I have been a fan of Starkid since I was a teenager. The Mother is a very powerful character who cares so deeply about everyone...even if she’s not sure how to show it."

The performance run for THE TRAIL TO OREGON! Has been extended through March 28. The weekend of March 13-15 is SOLD OUT. Performances continue Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm (March 20-28), and Thursday, March 19 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for students. The $12 price is also valid for youth, but PLEASE NOTE that this show is considered suitable for ages 18 and up. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets online, or call the box office at 828-328-2283.
