Rock The Stage: Lucas DeVore is Drew

A rock 'n' roll romance about a small-town girl, a city boy, and the power of dreams, the Broadway hit ROCK OF AGES plays in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT through February 4th.

He wants to rock. He wants to know what love is. He is Lucas DeVore, making his HCT debut as Drew.

A native of Mooresville, DeVore studied at Lees McRae University and works as Technical Director for Huntersville United Methodist Church. He is also the proprietor of his own creative production company, called LAD Space.

A self-professed lover of musical theatre, DeVore has been performing in the area for over a decade. He was recently seen as Emmett Forest in LEGALLY BLONDE at Davidson Community Players, where he has also appeared in MAMMA MIA! and XANADU. Other recent productions include BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at Mooresville Children’s Theatre.

DeVore is excited to be rockin' out in his Hickory Community Theatre debut, and is grateful for the creative community that has made this experience so enjoyable.

All performances of ROCK OF AGES this weekend are sold out.

Visit hickorytheatre.org, or call 828-328-2283, for more information. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.

ROCK OF AGES is rated R for strong language and adult situations.

ROCK OF AGES is produced in association with Lowes Foods, Alex Lee and MDI. The Hickory Community Theatre’s 74th season is sponsored by Paramount Automotive, SunBelt Xpress and Frye Regional Medical Center. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
