"I didn't know, but now I see

Sometimes what is, is meant to be" Jenna is a small town diner waitress and expert pie maker stuck in a broken marriage. But when a baking contest, and an unexpected romantic interest, promise a new life for her and her unborn child, Jenna discovers the secret ingredient—courage—she needs to make the change she wants.

The Tony-nominated Broadway hit WAITRESS is serving up song, dance, and hope in its extended run at HCT through June 28th.

You know that everything's all right when Kay Award winner Hannah Pratt is on stage at HCT, where she returns in this production as a hardworking Ensemble member.

A lifelong area resident, Pratt holds a degree in English Secondary Education & Theatre from Appalachian State University. Her teaching talents and leadership of North Lincoln High School's Drama Club and Chamber Choir has resulted in Blumey Award-winning productions of PIPPIN, ANASTASIA, and INTO THE WOODS. When not teaching or performing, Pratt enjoys cooking and gardening.

Pratt recently appeared in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT as Mary Magdalene in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Other HCT credits include RIDE THE CYCLONE, part of the Pamela Livingstone Outstanding Ensemble in POTUS, and THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, for which she received a Kay Award for Outstanding Featured Performer. Pratt has also received awards for performances in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW and ROCK OF AGES at Lincolnton Theatre Guild, and appeared in 9 TO 5 and MAMMA MIA! at The Green Room Community Theatre, where she also directed HELLO, DOLLY!

Performances of WAITRESS are Fridays and Saturdays, June 20th through June 28st at 7:30 PM; and, Thursdays, June 19th and June 26th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and students.

Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
