"Such a stubborn man you'll likely never meet another"

Stranded by their small town lives as small town waitresses, pie artiste Jenna and her coworkers can only dream of the kind of lives and loves they want. But when an area baking contest gives Jenna the chance to start a new life, what follows is heartwarming tale of dreams followed to the fullest.

Based on the beloved film, the Broadway musical sensation WAITRESS is cooking up an unforgettable experience at Hickory Community Theatre, June 6th through June 21st.

Returning the Jeffers Theatre in this production as Ogie, the historical reenactor with a heart of gold, is Zak Parton.

A resident of Sherril's Ford and Chorus Teacher for Lincoln Country Schools, Parton holds a BA in Music Education from Appalachian State University. Parton most recently appeared at HCT as an Ensemble member in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, and has also performed in ROCK OF AGES and SOMETHING ROTTEN. Other area credits include DISASTER! with the Lincoln Theatre Guild.

"I enjoy singing," says Parton. "I love singing any kind of music, and the commitment and admire the dedication of a cast and crew to make each show as good as it can be."

Performances of WAITRESS are Fridays and Saturdays, June 6th through June 21st at 7:30 PM; Sundays, June 8th and 15th at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, June 19th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $12 for youth and students.
