This Magic Moment: Aidan Morris plays Jack in INTO THE WOODS

Winner of three Tony Awards when it debuted in 1988, INTO THE WOODS brings the timeless tales of the Brothers Grimm to life in an epic fairytale musical about wishes, family and the challenges we face from the choices we make.

From famed Broadway duo Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, INTO THE WOODS plays in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT from June 12th through June 20th.

Making his Hickory Community Theatre debut as Jack, the young lad whose coming of age comes at an unexpected moral cost, is Aidan Morris.

A sophomore at North Lincoln High School (go, Knights!), Morris has appeared in such NLHS productions as PIPPIN and HADESTOWN: TEEN EDITION. He also appeared at Green Room Community Theatre in productions of ROALD DAHL'S WILLY WONKA and THE LIGHTNING THIEF: THE PERCY JACKSON MUSICAL.

Morris, who considers himself the cast member "most likely to make dumb jokes at the wrong time," appreciates the foolishness of his character, and the high-spirited hijinks of this story. "It's one that I have heard from many who have done it that it is a lot of fun."

Performances of INTO THE WOODS are Fridays and Saturdays, June 12th through June 20th at 7:30pm; Sunday, June 14th at 2:30pm; and Thursday, June 18th at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for youth and students. The production is recommended for ages 13 and up. Tickets are available at hickorytheatre.org or by calling 828‑328‑2283.
