This Magic Moment: Carys Teague plays Milky White & Snow White in INTO THE WOODS

Someday I’ll buy you back

The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairytale about wishes, family and fateful choices. This includes young Jack, who accepts a handful of magic beans in exchange for his bovine best friend, Milky White. From famed Broadway duo Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine, INTO THE WOODS finishsits run in the Jeffers Theatre this weekend, June 18th through 20th.

Making her Hickory Community Theatre debut in this production as said Milky White and Snow White (no relation), is Carys Teague.

A Lincolnton native and student at North Lincoln High School (Go, Knights!), Teague is a member of the Drama Club, Beta Club, and Girls Who Code. She recently appeared in NLHS productions of HADESTOWN: TEEN EDITION and TRACKS. She also played the Stepmother in a production of CINDERELLA at Lincoln Theatre Guild.

"A few of my friends auditioned with me and I love the music in the show," says Teague of INTO THE WOODS. She is equally delighted by her roles in this production. "They're both not very serious and I know I'll have fun making them my own."

Performances of INTO THE WOODS are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 18th, 19th and 20th at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for youth and students. The production is recommended for ages 13 and up. Tickets are available at hickorytheatre.org or by calling 828‑328‑2283.
