"Agony!

Far more painful than yours,

When you know she would go with you

If there only were doors."

Agonized by love and (literally) blinded by fate, Rapunzel's beloved Prince is one of the many memorable characters in INTO THE WOODS, the hit fairy tale music from Broadway legends Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. It finishes its run in the Jeffers Theatre at HCT this weekend, June 18th through 20th.

Returning to the Pamela Livingstone Stage in this production is Jupiter Slade. Slade, a lifelong Hickory resident and student at Catawba Valley Community College, enjoys composing music, and playing piano and guitar in their free time. They made their Hickory Community Theatre debut in last season's production of WAITRESS. They also made a previous princley appearance in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST for Caldwell County Schools.

Performances of INTO THE WOODS are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 18th, 19th and 20th at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for youth and students. The production is recommended for ages 13 and up. Tickets are available at hickorytheatre.org or by calling 828‑328‑2283.

INTO THE WOODS is produced in association with Catawba Valley Health Systems. Hickory Community Theatre is a funded affiliate of Arts Culture Catawba and receives sustaining support from the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. Season 77 support is provided by the City of Hickory, A Cleaner World, Shurtape Technologies, Acuña & Acuña Dentistry, and BellaAge.
