Chaperone Confidential: Meet Ensemble member Kim Jordan

Brimming with screwball comedy and show-stopping song and dance, Hickory Community Theatre proudly presents THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, playing in the Jeffers Theatre December 2nd-17th.

Making her HCT debut in this madcap musical is Ensemble Member Kim Jordan.

A native of Charlotte, Jordan now resides in Newton, where she is Director of Marketing & Communications for Catawba County Schools. She has received degrees from Appalachian State University, Gardner-Webb University, and Winthrop University.

A former baton twirler and dancer, Jordan enjoys running, reading, and rooting for the Atlanta Braves when not involved in theatre. But involved in theatre she most definitely is, with Jordan's most recent credits including TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at The HUB, as well as MAMMA MIA!, 9 TO 5, and HALLELUJAH GIRLS at The Green Room Community Theatre.

Jordan, who saw the original Broadway run of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, is over the moon to be involved in this HCT production. "It's such a fun show to be a part of," says Jordan, who is also impressed by the "fantastic local talent and diverse selection of shows" found at Hickory Community Theatre.

Performances of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE are Fridays and Saturdays, December 2nd through 17th at 7:30 PM; Sundays, December 4th & 11th at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, December 15th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.

Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.

THE DROWSY CHAPERONE is rated PG.

THE DROWSY CHAPERONE is produced in association with Shurtape. The Hickory Community Theatre’s 74th season is sponsored by Paramount Automotive, SunBelt Xpress and Frye Regional Medical Center. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
