An elf secret agent, a sassy young girl, and twin mouse siblings join forces to save the holiday season in 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS. This Hickory Community Theatre special event plays in the Jeffers Theatre December 10th & 17th.
Returning to the stage in jolly fashion is Carver Johns as Santa Claus.
Carver is a retired lighting and sound technician who helped supervise operations at such venues as the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Spectrum Center in Charlotte. A "Best Actor" Charlotte Theatre Award recipient, Johns has directed and performed with Inner Voices and Off-Tryon theatre companies on such productions as SPEED THE PLOW, DRINKING IN AMERICA, AMERICAN BUFFALO, LONE STAR, FOOL FOR LOVE, GRACELAND, and THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW.
Johns debuted at HCT this season as Duncan and Doctor in MACBETH, where he was delighted to perform alongside his two daughters. He admires the work of Artistic Director Eric Seale and the creative atmosphere at Hickory Community Theatre.
Performances of 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS are Saturdays, December 10th and 17th at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students. Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
