A festive holiday tale complete with song, dance, Santa, sword fights and more, HCT presents 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS in the Jeffers Theatre December 10th & 17th.
Making her HCT holiday debut as Wendell and Mulch is Sara Steinmetz.
Originally hailing from the Music City, Nashville, TN, Stinemetz relocated to Hickory for work six years ago. She has received a B.A. in Sociology from the College of Wooster and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. She is currently working as a licensed clinical social worker for Vaya Health.
Though this is Stinemetz's first performing role at Hickory Community Theatre, she has been active behind the scenes as a stage manager for such HCT productions as LEND ME A TENOR and NEWSIES, and is currently serving in the role of Secretary on the Board of Directors. In addition, Stinemetz has worked as a stage manager for the Old Colony Players' productions of CYRANO and STEEL MAGNOLIAS.
"This seemed like a fun show for the holiday," Stinemetz says of joining the cast, and has indeed reveled in her characters' onstage silliness. And whether on or off the stage, Stinemetz continues to enjoy the gifts of community and creative diversity at HCT.
Performances of 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS are Saturdays, December 10th and 17th at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students. Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
Please note that this event is an additional presentation and not part of the 74th Season. Season passes are not eligible for use for this event.
'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS is rated G. It is produced in association with Corning Optical Communications. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
