THE PIRATE QUEEN, an epic musical adventure from the creators of LES MISÉRABLES, is at Hickory Community Theatre June 3-18.
For our final cast profile we highlight THE PIRATE QUEEN'S youngest crewmate: Leland Morris, who is making his Hickory Community Theatre debut as Eoin, son of Grace O'Malley.
Leland is no stranger to the hustle and bustle of show business. His parents Rachel and Matt have competed on the TV baking shows HALLOWEEN WARS and SUGAR RUSH. They have also performed on stage at The Green Room Community Theatre, where the young Morris appeared in his first theatre production, WILLY WONKA. An aspiring baker himself, we have it on good authority that Morris makes a mighty fine focaccia. When not working in the kitchen, Morris enjoys fishing, camping, and hanging out with his four brothers.
As for his involvement in THE PIRATE QUEEN, Morris says that "the music and set are amazing", and that he appreciates being able to refine his "puppy dog eyes" look—an important tool for both an actor and a kid.
