Calling all trivia fans, contenders and champions! Hickory Community Theatre is back with Season 75, and so is Trivia Night! Produced in partnership with Anita Doran, Andrew Straw and John Duke, Hickory Community Theatre will be hosting a night of live trivia fun on Thursday, August 31st at 7:30PM at Duke’s Restaurant and Wine Bar. A percentage of proceeds from the event will go to support HCT's creative and community programming. Guests are invited to organize teams of up to six people for the contest. Paul Sapp will be Trivia Master for the contest, which will consist of three rounds of ten questions, testing teams on their knowledge of current/historical events, "musical murder and mayhem", and other thematic topics. For example: The iconic musical SWEENEY TODD is set in the year 1785. This is sometimes mistaken for England's Victorian era, when the story that inspired the play was first published. In which English era is the year 1785? a) Elizabethan era b) Restoration era c) Edwardian era d) Georgian era (See answer below.) Prizes, including complimentary tickets to Season 75 performances, will be awarded to the three top-scoring teams. Food and beverage will be available for purchase during the event, with 10% of sales from the event to be donated by Duke's to Hickory Community Theatre.

The event will take place in the Main Cellar City Club room on Thursday, August 31st at 7:30PM at Duke’s Restaurant and Wine Bar, located at 35 Main Ave SW, Hickory, NC 28601.
