A festive holiday tale complete with song, dance, Santa, sword fights and more, HCT presents 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS in the Jeffers Theatre December 10th & 17th.
Returning to the HCT stage in roles naughty and nice is Ashlen Cheers as Sir Guy and Uncle Brierly.
Originally hailing from Fleming Island, Florida, Cheers moved to the Hickory area six years ago to be with family and pursue a more laid back lifestyle. When not working as a home health aide, Cheers is a student at Fayetteville Technical Community College.
A self-described "willing to tackle anything" personality, Cheers' other interests include gardening, gaming, playing guitar and piano, and dancing. She is a member of the International Thespian Society and has already been active locally with the Lenoir-Rhyne University Playmakers in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST and CHICAGO.
Cheers made her Hickory Community Theatre debut in last season's production of THE PIRATE QUEEN, and then made an even more memorable impression as Third Witch in MACBETH. Cheers expresses tremendous gratitude for the people and relationships that have come into her life through HCT.
Performances of 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS are Saturdays, December 10th and 17th at 2:30 PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students. Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
Please note that this event is an additional presentation and not part of the 74th Season. Season passes are not eligible for use for this event.
'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS is rated G. It is produced in association with Corning Optical Communications. HCT is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
