EXIT Interview: Cory Bragg as Kyle

A sharp and ultimately uplifting "revenge comedy" by one of today's most produced playwrights, Lauren Gunderson's EXIT PURSUED BY A BEAR continues in the Firemen's Kitchen at Hickory Community Theatre, May 5th through 13th.

Making his Hickory Community Theatre debut as Kyle, the heartless husband who must mend his ways or feel the bear claws of justice, is Cory Bragg. Originally hailing from the natural wonders of Nanjemoy, Maryland, Bragg has been living in the Hickory area for the past six years. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowie State University, and currently works as a Housing Specialist for ALFA. He enjoys hiking and playing banjo in his free time, and pursues his love of tabletop gaming as a member of the Mountain View Gaming Club.

Bragg's previous acting credits include MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE at The Green Room Community Theatre, OSLO at Three Bone Theatre, and BUG at the Warehouse Performing Arts Center. Drawn by the diversity of shows at HCT, Bragg is grateful for the opportunity to break his EXIT PURSUED BY A BEAR co-stars with the same humorous spirit as the show.

Performances of EXIT PURSUED BY A BEAR are Fridays and Saturdays, May 5th through May 13th at 7:30 PM; Sunday, May 7th at 2:30 PM; and, Thursday, May 11th at 7:30 PM.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for youth and students.

Tickets are available online at hickorytheatre.org, or by phone at 828-328-2283. The theatre box office is open from 12-5 PM Wednesday through Friday, or one half-hour before a performance.
